At approximately 9:05 p.m. on May 23, 2023, Citrus County Deputy Andy Lahera was directing traffic at the Lecanto High School graduation ceremony when he was struck by a motorist traveling south on South Lecanto Highway. Deputy Lahera sustained critical injuries and was flown to Tampa General Hospital where he remains in stable but critical condition. Nature Coast FOP 164 is requesting that deputies and supporters help the Lahera family in their time of need.
